The Presidential Palace, or Building, was originally built during the Japanese period of occupation (1895-1945) as the official seat of its government for Taiwan. Construction on the structure began in 1912 and was completed in 1919. Damaged in the concluding stages of the Second World War, its initial renovation was concluded in 1945. It became the seat of the Republic of China after 1949 and has served as the Office of the President since that time. There is, incidentally, considerable discussion today about making the large square in front of the Palace a green area—to replace the large square traditionally used for military parades. |
My Name is Cielo Amor Tan, formerly Miss Taiwan 2011 and currently the reigning Queen of Miss Doll Globe International. I have never imagined in my entire life that one day I shall take you to my country. I am honored and happy to know that this moment has come for me, my people and my culture to finally be known all over the world. I speak of the dreams of every hopeful heart around the globe and it is with delight to make one hopeful heart's dream come true as we crown the next bearer of the Crystal Crown. Today we honor the camaraderie of Allure Productions and my family the Empress Doll Academy as they join forces in finding the Queen of 2012. With me is Empress Doll 2011, Kate Middleton from England to celebrate the ties we have. |
And now is the time to finally introduce you to our 30 equally beautiful maidens of the globe. Join us in welcoming and honoring each country by the handing down of sashes in the first segment of this year's PRESS PRESENTATION.
